My Favorite Song

OK, so sometimes people ask you, “what’s your favorite [fill in the blank].”  I’ll be honest.  That’s usually when my mind actually does go blank.  I know there are things I really like, but as I’m searching for an answer, I tend to spit out something that not only is not my favorite [blank], but I may decide I don’t even like that much when I reflect on it later.

Fine.  I’ll say it.  I panic.

So, to avoid that happening for at least one variation on the question — “What’s your favorite song?” — I have decided to go on record with a choice here that will henceforth and forthwith be my designated response.

So. Central Rain — R.E.M.

Yup, that’s my answer and I’m sticking with it (unless I change my mind when I reflect on this blog post later, which probably won’t happen ’cause it’s truly is a song that I always want to hear).
