21 Songs That Would Likely Not Be On My Ipod If My Wife Had Not Started Driving To Work And Been Forced To Listen To Top 40 Radio Because None Of The Other Stations Were Playing Music
First of all, let me say for the record that my wife will probably object to being deemed responsible for all of these songs. And, of course, she’s right. Some of these I can blame on my children — yeah, I’m looking at you, four-year-old who loves Pocketful of Sunshine. Really the culprit for these is the sad state of DC radio that forces us to listen to the Top 40 station more than we are comfortable with.
OK, that sounded a bit snotty, didn’t it? Look these are all really catchy songs that got stuck in some member of my family’s head and then migrated onto the Ipod. Radio t0 head to Ipod — that would be the disease vector for these particular viruses. Sorry, there I go being snotty again.
Anyway, here’s the list (and just for the record I thought this list would eventually get to 25 songs, but now I’m not so sure because we just bought a new car with satellite radio, which is great because it is all music and the many channels play a wider variety so instead of my wife coming home with Leona Lewis on the brain, I’m getting emails like “have you ever heard of The Limosuines,” which is cool) :
1. One Thing - Finger Eleven
2. Hips Don’t Lie - Shakira
3. Who Knew - Pink

10. Hey There Delilah - Plain White T’s
11. See the World - Gomez
12. Don’t Matter - Akon
13. Viva La Vida - Coldplay
